Roasted Brussels Sprouts

August Recipe #5: Mark Bittman's Roasted Brussels Sprouts



Ingredients:

1/4 Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 lb Brussels Sprouts
10 cloves garlic, peeled
Salt and pepper
1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 Ovenproof skillet

Ingredients:
1 can of each Goya Kidney, Pinto and black beans
1 lb ground turkey meat
1 onion minced
1 can Vegetable stock
1 or 2 chopped hot chiles (according to taste)
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cans of peeled whole tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/2 pound whole wheat pasta

  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme leaves, or 1 tablespoon dried
  • 1/2 medium carrot, finely grated
  • 2 (28-ounce) cans peeled whole tomatoes, crushed by hand and juices reserved
  • Spaghetti
