Terrible Beef Stew

September Recipe #2: Terrible Beef Stew

One of my all time favorite things to make. You simply can't mess this up that much. Although, I sure did try on this one.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 garlic sliced
2 lbs beef stew meat
3 medium onions, cut roughly
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 Bay leaf
1 teaspoon thyme
2 cans of sliced potatoes
1 package of frozen vegetable medley with green beans, carrots, corn and peas.
1 Crock-Pot

Directions:

1. Coat beef cubes in flour

2. Once the vegetable oil is heated place in skillet and brown the meat.
2. Place meat in slow cooker.

3. Place everything else in the slow cooker.

4. Turn on Slow cooker.

 Finished Product:

Poison. No, not really, but let's never discuss this recipe ever again, mkay? The meat was cooked well. The ingredients were okay, but it just fails on every level. I think the garlic was a poor choice or something. The stew just didn't congeal and mix properly. It's boring. No texture. Bland. Fuck.

0 out of 5 Stars

Leftovers: I tried, but it was still bland. I need to do better than this.
